American singer and songwriter Kia Jeffries doesn’t have a Wikipedia page. She came into news in 2021 after killing her pro-boxer husband in self-defense. As per reports, the 90s singer shot her husband Earnest Mahir Abdul-Mateen at a motel in Georgia.
Kia and Earnest was married for over 14 years. However, the pair got into a violent argument in November 2012 after he discoved her at the Venture Drive hotel close to Duluth. She said that her husbandpistol-whipped her with his handgun before she pulled the trigger and shot him in the chest.

Kia Jeffries was all over media portals in 2012 after she shot her husband Earnest Mahir Abdul-Mateen at a Georgian motel. She claimed that her husband repeatedly pistol-whipped her with his gun before she pulled the trigger in self-defense.
Her husband was discovered at hallways by police authorities while Jeffries was found outside with severe head and face injuries. The police determined in their original investigation that the former boxer beat his wife with a handgun until he was tired out. When he got tired, she manged to find a gun and pulled a trigger.

Police authorities concluded that Jeffries would not be charged for shooting Abdul-Mateen because she reacted in self-defense. The incident inspired her to became mental health awareness and against domestic violence activist.
